hi!

i can even cry reading a book!

yesterday was in the mrt, reading this book by Lurlene McDaniel...two stories in a book: Too young to die and Goodbye Doesn't Mean Forever



this two stories were talking about the same girl Melissa who was so poor, but very very good in her studies. she had a mom, elder brother and a best friend Jory. her life was so nice when even the school's most popular guy wanted to date her. But it all ended when she started to have bruises out of nowhere. And finally, diagnosed with cancer.



she was angry, at everything, everyone and her mother...she said it was her mother's fault for it was her mother who had brought her to the world and brought her to this torture. she had very beautiful hair, but she cut it before the chemo did...



she underwent chemo, and she turned for the better. she went into remission(means the chemo worked for her, she is well, and if she is able to remain in remission for 5 years, means she is fully recovered from leukemia...)



she did, went into remission, and her life went back to normal...just for one year..

and she went back to the hospital, with her relapse.

this time round chemo does minimal help. only a transplant can lead to some miracle...the bone marrow was from her brother. after the transplant, she showed signs of rejection. she struggled for a very long time, when the signs of rejection subsided. everyone thot she was well, but in the end, it wasn't the rejection...it was something else. Meningitis had her heart damaged...so her heart gave way one night...

she left letters for her mom, brother and Jory. really touching ones... she was only 17 when she died,when everything starts for her as a highschool girl. she should be doing everything she should as a 17 year old. instead, she was forced to stay in the hospital for months and months. despte all the fighting and optimism, she was still taken away.

right, isn't it? There is not really such a thing that good people gets the good endings while the bad ends up terrible...

17 was supposed to be a happy year for melissa, where she gets all the scholarships she longed for and romance to go for. however, she had to turn mature, face this battle, a tough and invading battle. she lost in the end, but she taught people around her to become more tough, mature and most importantly, to cherish the ones around when they are till able to.

Had i forgot to mention rachel? yup, this little 4 year old was a very good little sister to melissa. they met int he hospital, rachel suffers from luekemia as well. but she died as well.. she was such a dear.

i just feel sour when i got to know that melissa died. so tears just dropped...

Likes to eat, sleep, shopping, chat and reading(she really does!).
Loves her family.
Cannot do without her Family.

Laughs easily and may go on without stopping.
Loves her friends and buddies and also cannot live without them!
She needs her friends to be there so that she can forget all unhappiness and all stress.
